- Wash your hair and make sure it's clean.
- Comb it thoroughly to relieve it of all knots.
- First of all before I start with the straightening, you may observe that Vanessa's hair does not have a continous parting with this hairstyle.
- In the front there is a side parting whioch allows her bangs to fall on the right side of her face, but on the other hand, the rest of her hair on top is parted in the centre.
- So divide your hair into two horizontal sections: Divide section 1 ( bangs/fringe) into a side parting such that majority of your hair lies on the right side and section 2( the rest of the hair on top of your head) into a parting in the centre. The hair behind your head needn't be paarted.
- Apply some heat protection products if neccessary.
- Now straighten your hair. Make sure you don't overstraighten it though.
- Now bring all your hair to the left side of your head.
- Starting briefly from around 6cm below your ears, tie a loose plait.
- This hairstyle works best if your hair is layered. So if your hair doesn't turn out exactly like Vanessa's you needn't worry, you've just made your own unique style statement!
- Oh yeah and don't forget to accessorize your hair a bit! Try using a hairband like Vanessa's (in the area where the parting differs.)
