HOW TO ACCESSORIZE BRIGHT CLOTHES
Just the other day my friend was wearing a complete red outfit, a red dress actually. Though the dress was pretty decent, her accessorizing was just plain terrible!! She used green accessories, with silver shoes and a red bangle. The accessories indivually were pretty good but all togther it was just a big mess. So I thought I'd write an article on how you can use colours well.
Colour: Red
Accessories: If you are wearing red, go bare with the beck. Red is a royal colour and tends to speak for itself. A simple chain bracelet should be sufficient. In case of earrings choose gold. Studs or hoops will be perfect.
Shoes: Try not to opt for shoes with too much detailing. Let all the attention be on your dress and not the shoes. Choose shoes in a dull shade like dull gold, rust or light silver. Sandals or delicate heels should be perfect.
Colour: Orange
Accessories: First of all, buy something in a dull shade of orange, don't opt for florescent colours, it's very difficult to accessorize then. Always pair orange with gold. If it is a low neck or halter, opt for thin delicate gold chains. A small golden ring should work as well.
Shoes: First of all let's make this clear, warm coloured shoes are a deinfite no-no with orange clothes. So whatever happens, opt for anything but red, yellow or orange itself. Try white shoes or thin silver strapped shoes. Gladiator sandals should also look good with orange.
Colour: Yellow
Accessories: Overdose of yellow?? Nope, you don't wanna look like an antibiotic do you?? Pair with a cute silver choker or cute silver chains. Try a black or white bag. Rusty accessories are a hit with yellow.
Shoes: Gladiator shoes limited to the ankle, strappy black heels and wedges shouldlook good with yellow. Yellow is a colour that you can experiment with. Any shoes should go with it but just remember, no boots.
Colour: Hot pink
Accessories: If your top is a low-neck or if it leaves your neck sort of bare, then pair with silver chains. If your top is a polo top or it crowds around your neck or something, use gold chains. Gold and silver looks great with hot pink but I'm more in favour of Gold. Gold bangles and long dangling earrings or hoops look good with pink. Besides pink signifies girly, experiment!! You could try pairing your dress or top with a black or silver belt as well.
Shoes: Any type and any coloured shoes shoulld go with hot pink. Just remember, no beige coloured boots please and no bright coloured shoes!!
